Course Description: AP World History
This course will give students college-level preparation in world history, while preparing them for the AP World History Exam in May 2009. The AP World History course is designed to help students develop a greater understanding of changes in global frameworks and there causes and consequences, as well as comparisons among major societies. This understanding is advanced through a combination of content knowledge, as well as the appropriate analytical skills. The course offers balanced global coverage, with Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania all represented.
Grades: B+ or higher in History 9
