Course Description: Spansh 3 Honors
The course is designed to strengthen and expand the command of the written and spoken language and devotes special attention to the uses of the subjunctive mode. The communicative themes utilized in this third level of language study include household chores, news, careers, travel, and studies. Individual research projects about an historical event, period, or individual will build students research, writing and oral communication skills. As in all courses in this discipline, proficiency and achievement are measured on a regular basis through quizzes and tests, which evaluate listening and reading comprehension and the ability to use the language appropriately in context.
The Spanish 3 Honors is a faster paced course. In contrast with the regular Spanish 3 class, an additional emphasis is placed on reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The objective of the Spanish 3 Honors class is to prepare students in all four skill areas for the Spanish AP Language class.
