Course Description: Applied Music Fundamentals/Instrumental

Applied Music Fundamentals/Instrumental is designed to teach students the basic elements of music theory, literacy and aural perception focusing mainly on performing modern arrangements of classical and contemporary literature. Strong focus on reading, arranging, applied theory and performance, with an introduction to basic improvisation. Through the continuous development and application of vocal and listening skills, students will acquire the knowledge and experience that will set the stage for advanced musical study.

Open to all instrumentalists with basic experience. May be repeated. No prerequisites.
