Course Description: Geometry
This geometry course will focus on the exploration of geometric properties and the logic of proofs through investigations, constructions, activities, and projects. It will promote conceptual understanding, mathematical modeling and problem solving. Students will learn to work cooperatively with their peers. Every lesson will encourage interaction and communication. The course will promote active involvement, effective questioning, variety in instructional format, and student communication of mathematical ideas. A variety of tools will be used, including a compass, ruler, protractor, and graphing calculator.
