Course Description: Biology

Aims & Objectives

In addition to learning about how organisms function at the cellular level, Biology provides an opportunity to acquire knowledge about particular spheres of human activity and to link that knowledge to issues affecting individuals and society. Future citizens need to be aware of the biological benefits and hazards that impinge upon their everyday lives. Emphasis is placed upon developing attitudes and abilities related to the process of science, as well as development of practical skills and problem solving techniques.
