Course Description: Anatomy and Physiology

Aims & Objectives

The study of Human Anatomy & Physiology provides an opportunity for students to learn how and why their bodies do things by developing an understanding of the relationship between the body’s structures and their various functions. Emphasis is placed upon the application of acquired knowledge and critical thinking skills to solve problems related to health concerns.

In addition to developing a fundamental working vocabulary of anatomical terms, students will study the structures and functions of the body’s major systems: skin, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, immune, digestive, reproductive, and urinary.
